The Swansea City striker will be a target for the jeers because of his time at Sheffield Wednesday but he insists that it makes him play better rather than having the reverse effect.
He has already scored five goals in games against the Blades for his various clubs and Swans fans will be hoping that he adds to that tally this weekend especially if it propels the team three points closer to the play offs.
“I have good memories of Bramall Lane with Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday” he told the Western Mail.
“I’ve scored there and always played well – and I like it there because the crowd hate me.
“I get booed there and I quite like that when it happens. It makes you a bit more energetic.
“I scored against them once in a derby at Hillsborough and they always remember me from my time at Wednesday.
“I’ve played against Chris Morgan, their captain, quite a few times,” he said.
“We’ve always had a good battle and don’t let each other rest for a minute. That’s what it’s all about.
“But it’s not about me, it’s about our team performance.
“We’ll go there with confidence and it doesn’t matter if I score or not – I’ll take an own goal!
“I haven’t been frustrated when I’ve been out of the side
“I had a good chat with the gaffer and he said to me that he likes to rotate the team.
“Different opposition suits different players and we’ve got a good squad.
“I’m 100% behind every decision he makes, you want to play every game, but you know that can’t happen.
“If I’m not playing it’s not because of my age. I’m feeling fit and strong, feel really good.
“We played seven games in March, I played in most of those games and felt great.”
