Orlandi was a regular feature in the Swansea City midfield last season having seemingly made a switch from left flank to central midfield following the arrival of Paulo Sousa.
And that form attracted reported interest from West Brom and Nottingham Forest although he has not revealed who it was that made the move to take him away from the Liberty Stadium.
Orlandi's contract is up at the end of the month and he is looking to extend his stay in South Wales in a bid to help the Swans bounce back from the disappointment of missing out on the play offs at the very end
"We have been talking about the future," confirmed Orlandi in an interview with the Evening Post
"I must say I really like playing for Swansea. I enjoy playing with my team-mates and the way we play.
"There was interest in January.
"I received some calls (from other clubs) but I've always said no and that I was focused on the play-offs with my team.
"It was a real shame to miss out on the play-offs by not winning our last game.
"We lost a great, great chance to achieve our dreams.
"To get into the play-offs and possibly the Premier League was something we didn't expect at the start of the season.
"But we have shown that we are a very good team with great spirit.
"There is no better group than this team," he said.
"I've been at a few clubs with some massive characters and players and the dressing room spirit is amazing.
"But it is even better here. I can't say enough about the bond between the players at this club.
"The dressing room here is worth a lot.
"Since I arrived, when we were in League One, the team spirit has been very good.
"That's why we have been fighting to get into the Premier League and not relegation.
"At the start of the season some people said we'd go down but we've proved them wrong in a big way.
"Next season will be tougher for us, but the team spirit is going to be even stronger."
