The Swansea City Chairman was speaking out after some of the little transfer speculation so far this summer evolved with reports that the Swans were about to move for Palace star Danns.
He told the Evening Post "Perhaps somebody is looking to drum up a bit of interest because of the financial situation at Crystal Palace
"We were interested in Neil Danns last season. He was somebody we looked at, although he was just one of a number of players on a list we had.
"I don't know why the stories have come up again, though, because at the moment we are not in for Neil Danns."
The Chairman also said that as yet there had been no contact over Darren Pratley who is linked with a move away from the club this summer "I have had no contact from Celtic or anyone else about Darren and we hope it stays that way," he stressed.
Huw also denied move for goalkeeper Tom Heaton insisting that the cub were not in the market for a new goalkeeper at this time.
