Trundle is officially without the club although he is still waiting to hear if the Swans will offer him a deal following his release from Bristol City.
But he says that his future is not known as he waits for Paulo Sousa to make the decision on whether he wants him to remain at the Liberty or not.
Speaking to the Western Mail, Trundle said “I want to stay at Swansea
“I thought I was going to get that chance and I still hope I do.
“But, as time drags on, I have to start being a bit more realistic. The last I heard was when I spoke to chairman at the start of the week and he said he was still waiting for a final decision from the gaffer.
“That puts me in a difficult situation because I can’t keep hanging on. I have to start looking around other clubs because otherwise I risk getting to July without having a club.
“If Swansea don’t want to keep me, I will have to accept that. But I need to start considering other options in case the worst does happen.
“This is the first time in my career that I have been in this position. I have never had to deal with this sort of uncertainty before and I find it very daunting.”
