Goals from Darren Pratley and Scott Sinclair were the key facts in the Swans 2-1 win over Coventry – a team that Rodgers believes is destined to be there or therabouts at the end of the season.
And because of that he was delighted with continuing their perfect home record which went to three wins from three games with the victory.
"It's a terrific three points; a massive win against a Coventry side who will be up there at the end of the season,'' explained Rodgers vis the club's official website.
"We were outstanding in the first-half and scored a good goal. If anything, we should have gone in with more than a 1-0 lead.
"Then we went 2-0 up at the start of the second-half, but it's not the nature of this team to be defensive because we always want to go forward.
"I was disappointed with the goal they pulled back from the corner. Two of our players fell over and the goal gave them a huge lift because they felt they could get something out of the game.
"It was a battle after that. The game became a war as they threw the ball into our box and we had to defend with our lives.
"But I expected Coventry to put us under pressure because they've got some good players. That's why I'm so pleased with the three points.
"Now it's about keeping the winning run going; making the Liberty a fortress and making sure teams don't like coming here.''
