Clough told the Derby official website after the game “It was a remarkable effort to keep a clean sheet, especially against a sideย that had won every single home game this season.
“To a man ourย defenders were magnificent, and because of that Stephen Bywater didn’t have too much to do in goal.
“We have been encouraged with our performances this season and the manner in which we defended today andย earnย a point is really pleasing.
“It’s even more pleasing when you consider we didn’t have too many options on the bench to change things around.
“Stephen Pearson isn’t quite fit yet, Chris Porter has been out for quite a while and then we had youngsters Mark O’Brien and Ben Pringle who are still learning their trade.
“Kris Commons, Alberto Bueno and Robbie Savage were feeling it too after such a hard and gruelling week, so it is a magnificent effort.
“To be fair, there is a tinge of disappointment we didn’t pick them off in the second half as well.
“We broke two-on-one twice and didn’t get anything from it, but we’re more than happy to go into the break unbeaten in four games.
“With two weeks until our next game, it is really nice to go into the next fortnight without a defeat for everyone.
“We want to keep it going when we get back in action against Preston North End in a fortnight.”
