Allen told the Evening Post “This is probably the first time I’ve played three games in a week in my whole life so I wouldn’t say I’m established in the side because there’s so much competition in midfield
“But at the moment I’m playing, I’ve been given a chance and I’ve got to keep working hard to hold on to my place.
“I’m happy, but I think there’s more to come. I think in parts I’m playing my best football, but I need to make sure I do it for the full 90 minutes.”
Allen is also back involved in the Welsh squad and added
“It’s great to be part of the Welsh squad. It’s an added bonus to club football and I’m excited to hopefully be involved in two qualifying games,” said Allen.
“Brian’s let me know he’s keeping tabs on my form and how I’m getting on.
“He’s selected me to be part of things so I’m looking forward to training this week and meeting up with the boys.
“With new management and some different call-ups I think we’ll have to see how the lads do in training before the side’s picked.
“Every qualifier is vital. Our home games are where we need to pick up points, so it’s important.”
