The Swansea City goalkeeper has kept five successive league clean sheets and desperately wants to take that run to six on Sunday when the Swans visit the Cardiff City Stadium.
But he also recognises that it will prove to be a tough test against a side that seems to score goals very freely as he told the Evening Post “Cardiff are a great side and they have some really good players,
“They have been playing some good football and we have to respect them, but our confidence is high.
“Our team is growing and growing. The big thing we are doing well at the moment is working hard to get the ball back as quickly as possible if we lose it.
“You have to know what you are good at and what you are not good at, and then you have to work on things.
“When we lose the ball now, we keep the pressure high on our opponents.
“Every player does their bit and we know the right times to put pressure on teams. We are getting it right.
“We are a big success right now,” de Vries added.
“Tactically we are really smart, we know when to go for it and when to cool the game down a little bit.
“We are on a good run, and that’s a good boost for us going into a game which is really big for the fans.
“It’s really big for the players, too, because Cardiff are right up there, and if we can keep our unbeaten run going we’ll be pleased.
“They have some good individuals, but we have some great players up front as well,” he said.
“Scott Sinclair is on fire and Nathan Dyer is doing a great job โ he is the sort of player you miss when he is not around and has been great for us.
“Then we have different options in attack, and we have a lot of pace.”
