Pratley – We’ve Not Become A Bad Side Overnight

The Swansea City midfielder was one of many to not play to their full level on Wednesday night and was replaced at half time as Brendan Rodgers looked to change his side’s performance.

In the end it didn’t affect the results and the Swans were beaten at home for the first time this season, something that everyone believes we need to bounce back from.

And Pratley believes the Swans can do that and insists that Wednesday was not the norm

“You should never get carried away in football because things can change very quickly,” he told the Evening Post.

“But we’ve not become a bad side overnight โ€” we’re third in the league for a reason.

“Wednesday’s gone now. The game’s finished and we move on to the next one.

“I played 45 minutes. Me and Orlandi came off and that’s the manager’s decision

“Whatever the manager decides to do, he does, whether that’s bringing me off or anyone else.

“I don’t think the team was happy.

“The manager’s obviously pulled me off for a reason and you’d have to ask him why.

“I’m a player at the end of the day, so what he says goes.

“We’re obviously disappointed to lose at home and lose the unbeaten run

“It was an off night, I suppose.

“Of 15 games this season, this game and the Forest game were the ones in which we’ve been poor.

“But we’ve done okay. We’ve got to put it down as a bad one and move on to Sunday.

“None of the boys turned up not wanting to win, we just didn’t get it

“After the game on Sunday we all came out wanting to show it wasn’t a freak result, but that didn’t happen.

“Now we’ve got a game on Sunday and we’ve got to put it right.”
