It’s six unbeaten away from the Liberty for the Swans – including 5 wins – in a run that stretches back to September and gives Rodgers every reason to be optimistic about the next challenge.
In contrast to home form that has tailed off a little lately, the Swans run is the reason why they have maintained their healthy league position which could get better tomorrow if they pick up three points on their travels.
And Rodgers believes he can explain the reason between the two sets of form “Home teams have to come at you a little bit more and that helps us,” he told the Evening Post.
“It gives us more space to play in, and our form on the road has been very good.
Spirit
“We have been creative and we have scored goals, and our recent run has been excellent.
“We look strong away from home. Our creativity is good, our possession is good and our spirit is good.
“The spirit is important, because in this league you need that when you go away from home.
“We have also changed the structure of the team a little bit away from home, which allows us to be in better positions defensively.
“It has worked well since a difficult start to the season and we are working hard to keep it going at Sheffield United.
“After 21 games we are joint second in the table, having performed really well,” he said.
“We must now keep concentrating on our performance level, especially over the next 15 games, and then we will see where we are with ten games to go.”
