Pratley Targetting More Goals

The Swansea City midfielder’s goal yesterday matched his total for last season and he has set his sights on surpassing that target – even joking that he is aiming on catching 16 goal Scott Sinclair.

Darren told the official website “It was a good team performance to get three goals and three points, we had to be patient because Palace came and put 10 men behind the ball.

“But the crowd helped us by being patient as well. They let us play our football and didn’t put pressure on us – and that’s what you need when teams come here for a point.

“I’m happy to get seven goals by January. I’ve already matched my total from last season, but hopefully there will be a few more to come.

“Scott (Sinclair) must be worried I’m going to catch him because he’s grabbing the penalties as well now

“It was a great bit of skill from Nathan to get the penalty, he would have got a shot away if he hadn’t gone down. But I’m glad he was knocked down because we all know what Nathan’s shooting is like!

“But, seriously, he’s been different class since he’s been here. He may have got the man of the match award in front of the live cameras, but we all know that was a normal performance from him. He does that week in week out.”

Pratley also explained the T signal that he made when he scored “The T was for my brother and his mates, they have a Thursday club with poker nights and things like that.

“He wanted me to wear a t-shirt, but I don’t like wearing anything under my shirt. So I gave him the sign T for the Thursday club instead – he’ll be happy with that.”
