Just seven months after leaving South Wales for Sheffield United, it will be a return for fans’ favourite Britton who first joined the club on loan back in 2002.
That loan was made permanent before he went onto make more than 300 appearances for the club before leaving last summer.
Having never settled at Bramall Lane, Britton was given the chance of a return and a source close to the player told the Western Mail โLeonโs delighted
โIt hasnโt worked out as he would have liked at Sheffield, but he was keen to give it his best shot because it was his decision to go.
โIt was a massive wrench for him to leave Swansea in the first place so when it became clear the clubs might be prepared to make a deal happen then of course he was interested. If it was any other club it might not have been the case.
โThereโs still a few minor details to be sorted, but he knows itโs a big opportunity for him. Itโs a second chance for him at Swansea and he canโt wait to make the most of it”
Britton is reported to be signing on a free transfer.
