Britton returned to Swansea City from Sheffield United last week and was thrown straight into the action as a substitute during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Barnsley.

And he revealed how happy he was to be back at Swansea – just seven months after he left at the end of his previous contract.

And for the third time he had to take part in the ritual of singing a song in front of the rest of the squad as he explained to the Evening Post “It’s great to be a part of the club again

“I’ve settled in very quickly and there are only a few new faces from the time I’d left.

“Of course, I had to get up and sing in front of the squad and staff which can be nerve- wracking for some guys โ€” but this is the third time I’ve done it here.

“I sang ‘It Must Be Love’ by Madness. I was afterย luke Mooreย โ€” I can’t remember what he sang, it wasn’t brilliant โ€” but I picked up the standard after him. I think I did quite well.

“It’s hard to gauge what the reception will be like, but the fans were excellent to me and I thank them for that,” added Britton.

“The reception was brilliant from the fans โ€” they were signing my name all afternoon and that was a great moment for me.

“It was nice to get on for 15 minutes. The first touch is always a nerve-wracking feeling, but it went well.

“I’m just delighted to be back out there in a Swansea shirt.

“The challenge for me now is to try to work myself into the team again. There is a lot of quality in that position, so it’s going to be a difficult job for me.”
