The Swansea City manager comes face to face with Leyton Orient at the Liberty Stadium aware of the challenge that lies ahead after the League One side knocked our fellow promotion candidates Norwich City out in the last round.
“They’re a decent football side who try to play some good football,” Rodgers told the Western Mail.
“They come here on the back of a couple of great results and they’ve got a good young player who I know very well in Jimmy Smith, who I worked very closely with at Chelsea.
“He scored in the last round and I know he’s got the ability to do that from the midfield so it’s going to be a tough game for us.
“We’re really looking forward to the game,” added Rodgers. “We had a terrific performance and result in the last round and we will prepare with the same detail and with the same respect to our opponent as we would every week.”
