Rodgers – Sinclair Can Get 30 Goals

The Swansea City manager saw his summer signing from Chelsea break the 20 goal barrier on Saturday as the Swans cemented their second place league position and he still thinks there is more to come.

โ€œHeโ€™s that greedy heโ€™ll want 30, which is great.” Rodgers told Wales on Sunday.

โ€œHe has the instinct to score goals. Heโ€™s got searing pace, great balance and what I love about him is that he wants to score goals.

โ€œHaving watched Swansea for a couple of seasons I knew that was the type of player we needed.

โ€œI had to convince him to come to here because he could have gone to the Premier League, but with the help of his teammates heโ€™s got 21 goals.

โ€œAll Scott ever needed was games, heโ€™s always had the ability.

โ€œIโ€™m very proud of the team, it was a great, great performance. Iโ€™m very much about winning games but I want my teams to play a certain way and some of our play was fantastic.

โ€œThey are a very strong team going forward, so for us to restrict them to one shot on target shows our dominance.

โ€œItโ€™s got to be up there as one of the best of the season because of where they are in the top six as well. To play against a rival and play like that is excellent.

โ€œIโ€™ve talked to the players about performing under pressure because it will be important now.โ€

Wagner: “We were not ruthless or clinical enough”
