Sinclair – I Don’t Want To Stop

The Swansea City man scored one of the best goals of the season to date on Saturday with an incredible run from the halfway line to open the scoring against Nottingham Forest.   And whilst some of his team mates enjoy the two week break from league football, there is no long break for Sinclair who now hopes to star on the international stage.

But rather than worry about it – Sinclair knows he has more in the tank as he explained to the Western Mail.

“I don’t think you can say I’m jealous of the others getting a rest because you don’t want to stop when things are going well

“It’s always an honour to get called up by your country and it’s exciting to be going away with the squad again.

“I’m more than happy to keep playing and I don’t see it as an issue because you can still get breaks during a season.

“The manager is very good like that and he will know when to give you days off.

“I didn’t feel as fresh against Derby as I was against Forest and the manager sees this kind of stuff and makes sure you get the extra recovery time if needed.

“The fact I haven’t got tired legs at this stage of a long season is tribute to the manager who knows when to give you that extra day off or a lighter session which gets the best out of us.

“I feel good and I’m looking forward to going again after the internationals.

“It’s nice to get a goal like that, but as ever the main thing for me was to win the game,” he said modestly.

“But I do try to do something a bit different in games. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take tap-ins all day long but that goal was a bit special to me.

“I could have got another like that against Forest and I did miss a few chances as the game wore on.

“But hopefully I can put that right next time and I won’t be afraid to try something different again.”
