Brown told the official Preston website "It isn't beyond the realms of possibility we could get nine points from our next three games and if that was the case the majority of the fans will believe
"You get one win and the second comes along, now we've got three, and we want to get the fourth at Reading on Tuesday and then I'll want the fifth one at Portsmouth – it just goes on and on.
"This does a power of good to everything we are trying to do, because people start buying in and start believing.
"But it is all about where we end up. There's a four team league table we are involved in and we have to finish top of that table.
"All of a sudden we have gone to third, which is a step in the right direction. When we get to second we will have one to catch and we then have to make sure we get ahead of that one and stay ahead.
"First and foremost I've got to congratulate Brendan Rodgers for the football his side plays – it's absolutely magnificent.
"We had a game plan we've been working all week. Fortunately the international week allows you to get your team out on the training ground a little bit earlier.
"It would have been quite simple and quite easy to simply replace Chris Brown – who picked up an injury on Monday and we've been keeping that under wraps – with Nathan Ellington, but I think what comes with a bit of experience with teams at this level is that we knew the kind of football that Swansea were going to try and play and we changed things round a bit.
"Baz Nic (Barry Nicholson) is a goalscoring midfield and has got three goals from the last three full games he has played for us, so it was a no brainer for me to get some energy in midfield and compete against them in there. Fortunately for us, it worked."
