De Vries – We Are Peaking At The Right Time

The Swansea City goalkeeper wants to win at Nottingham Forest for the first time as a Swans player on Thursday, insisting that they have the form and momentum to stop Forest's own excellent form in the semi final.

Speaking to the Western Mail, De Vries said “We do feel like we’re peaking now but our away record speaks for itself.

“Away results have not been good enough, especially when we wanted to grab and hold of the second automatic spot.

“But in our last few results we’ve done very well, kept clean sheets, and Millwall said they we were the best side they have seen at The Den.

“It’s great to build momentum going into these games and very important because Forest have won their last four and scored lots of goals, but now we need to kick on.

“Forest are a good side, we’ve had two very different fixtures against them this season, up there we didn’t deserve anything but at home we were excellent.

“I’ve never won there as a Swansea player and it will be something new for us to go there as a team and win.

“I’ve been really impressed by Forest; they know what’s been asked of them in situations like this and when the heat is on they know how to perform.

“We’ve showed that a couple of time ourselves but they are strong and solid at back, creative in midfield and have plenty of pace and scoring ability up front.

“They are at home first and with a hostile environment and the crowd behind their backs they might have the slight advantage. But we don’t fear going there.

“Fear is a big word. We have plenty of confidence from last few results away and we know what we’re capable of.

“These games are separate to what happened before because of the hype, for us as a team know what capable of and we can just look forward to it.

“Our results away should have been a lot better but why not time for a change.”
