Brendan Rodgers confirms that Ryan Harley is just about set for a move to Championship side Brighton
Harley’s career at Swansea looks like being a short lived one – probably one of those moves that was always doomed to succeed once the club won the play off final back in May.
And a move to the Championship will give him the chance to shine at a higher level then he has to date and Brighton are already flying high in the division with a maximum points tally to date.
“We have near enough agreed a deal with Brighton for Ryan,” said Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers.
“He has been unfortunate really. When we looked at him in League One, we brought him in as someone who could come in and help us in the Championship.
“It’s a big step up from League One to the Championship, but it is huge going from League One to the Premier League.
“Ryan has probably seen that his first-team chances will be limited at this level and he is at an age where he wants to play football.”
