Brendan Rodgers admits he would love to sign a new deal at the club

Rodgers has worked on a 12 month rolling contract since arriving at the club back in the summer of 2010 but there has been talk this week of a new deal for the man who led the team into the Premier League for the first time and at the first time of asking,

Rodgers said when asked whether he would sign a new dealย โ€œYeah, I love it here. There is no reason not to.

โ€œI would just have to sit down, look at the club and make sure the vision of the club aligns with my own and we can continue to move forward.

โ€œThe club have treated me ever so well, the supporters have been brilliant with me.

โ€œHopefully, they will feel I have given them something in return.

โ€œSo, it would be straightforward for me to sign another deal here.

โ€œThat will be up to the board and chairman to decide now.

โ€œIn the summer, when the chairman spoke with me about my side of things, my concentration was purely on getting the players sorted and organised.

โ€œI also had personal things going on and a new contract was probably the furthest thing from my mind.

โ€œBut Iโ€™m happy at the club and, if the club decide to act, or not, then I will continue to work like I have done since I have been here and help the club to progress.โ€
