Michel Vorm says that the weekend defeat highlights how costly mistakes can be in the Premier League
Vorm was speaking after the Swans shipped four goals at Blackburn on Saturday and he said “It is harder to take because our own mistakes have contributed to the defeat.
“Everyone makes mistakes, but at this level, even against the likes of Blackburn, they still have players who can finish those chances.
“You don’t get many chances in this league.
“If we give away goals like we did, then you can lose against any team.
“Our possession was good again, especially in the second-half. We killed them.
“We had a lot of good possession throughout the match, but we didn’t create much.
“We have to make a quicker decision with the final ball, we have to be better.
“They scored from our mistakes. When Joe got sent off in the second -half the game was done.
“It was 3-2 and if we didn’t concede a red card then I think we would have maybe drawn the game by scoring a third goal because they were dead on their feet at the end.
“We have the confidence, and even after this we won’t get too down,” insisted Vorm.
“We know we have the qualities – we’ve shown that this season.”
