Vorm Keeps Eyes On Dutch No 1 Spot

Michel Vorm knows his ambition come the end of the season is to be the Dutch Number 1 in the Euro Championships

Vorm saved his second penalty of the season against Fulham to earn the Swans a victory against Fulham and he said after the gameย “It’s important to show [coach] Bert van Marwijk what I can do

“Stekelenburg is the number one and I am a good number two while Tim Krul is also doing very well in the Premier League,” said Vorm.

“I think Holland have got three top goalkeepers so I want to stay fit, keep Swansea in the Premier League, then after that we’ll see what happens with Holland in the European Championship.

“The pressure was on and we had to win,” insisted Vorm.

“That was important. If we didn’t win this game, the pressure would have got bigger.

“I moved away to get my head right rather than psyche him out,” said Vorm.

“It was to get my concentration and relax as it was an important moment as I’m a goalkeeper who likes to be important and if they don’t shoot the penalty right, you can save it.”
