Brendan Rodgers is already into his planning for next season as he prepares to bring the curtain down on a fantastic 9 months in the Premier League
Rodgers know that his side have long since celebrated their Premier League safety but signing out with a win over Liverpool today could put them into the Top 10 if results elsewhere work in their favour.
And beyond that he is already looking to his squad for next season as he explained to Wales on Sunday “We cannot go again with the same group. We have to recycle to retain the hunger and competitive edge.
“And we have to be ready for when that window shuts that’s you until January.
“Unfortunately some players will go, but that’s football.
“We can celebrate what we have done this season because it has been a success, but there is also a lot of hard work to be done.
“We have to identify players who can make us stronger next year.”
