Captain Garry Monk says he is gutted to see Brendan Rodgers leave the Swans for Liverpool
Monk told the Evening Post “He has arguably been the best manager the club has ever had, so it leaves a massive hole,
“But we have been in this position before (when Roberto Martinez and Paulo Sousa left) so hopefully we will stick together.
“He is a top, top manager and he has been a breath of fresh air for Swansea.
“He treats us like adults and knows his football, how to win games, and I am sure the Liverpool lads will look forward to working with him.
“We’re gutted to see him leave but he has the ingredients to be a top. top manager and deserves this chance.”
