Kemy Agustien has revealed that he trained throughout the summer despite being told by the club to rest
“I trained almost all the way through the summer. The club told me I needed rest after the injury and the operation but I’m a little hard-minded so I started running and played street soccer back in Holland. I spent a lot of time with the physio back home and I’d train Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays and sometimes on a Saturday, too.
“But I like to be with the ball so on top of that I’d play Street Soccer with my mates.
“It can get pretty intense because no-one wants to lose – but we have a good side with my brother and my cousins and friends from when I was growing up. I’d train in the morning, have a rest then start playing around five and stay on until ten or eleven at night. We were the best so we were always the last ones on.
“There is more I need to do to get where I want to be and I have to work hard to get there. I’m not thinking about playing games yet, just to get myself fit and be ready.”
