The Western Mail are reporting that Garry Monk is set for a move over the Severn Bridge to Bristol City
The paper is reporting that the deal is set to go ahead with the only sticking point at the moment being whether Monk will join on a season long loan or a permanent deal for the defender who has two years to run on his Swans contract.
With the summer arrivals of Kyle Bartley and Chico Flores, the position of club captain Monk has become unsure as he slipped down the pecking order and speculation has been there all summer that he was set for the Liberty exit door.
“I’ve made it quite clear Swansea is the club I want to be at,” said Monk in July.
“It’s up to the manager whether he wants me to be here or not.”
Meanwhile it promises to be a busy last week of the window at Swansea with Scott Sinclair tipped to make the move to Manchester City next week with Pablo Hernandez reported to be joining the club.
