Scott Sinclair yesterday completed his move to the Ethiad Stadium and said that he could not turn down the chance to join Manchester City
Sinclair made the £6.2m move to the Premier League Champions on deadline day and said “I’m just glad everything is settled and that I’m now a City player.
“It had been dragging on and there were times I didn’t know if it would happen and I had to speak to the chairman and my agent. It was a bit stressful.
“But I’m relieved that I’m here and I can’t wait to get started.
“I had a great time in Swansea, had some great memories like the play-off final, but it was time to have another challenge and go back to a world-class team.
“When the chance comes around I don’t know many players who would turn down the chance of moving to Manchester City.”
Oddly, Sinclair admitted that he had not spoken to the manager before completing the move.
Also on the way out of the Liberty yesterday were Fede Bessone (Swindon), Andrea Orlandi and Stephen Dobbie (both Brighton)
