Shelvey Makes Most Impressive Debut

The summer purchase from Liverpool made an impressive start in Swansea colours and controlled the midfield for large periods with a strong display of passing and movement showing that he will fit directly into the Swansea style of playing.

Shelvey amassed 52% of the 26 votes cast beating Pozuelo into 2nd place in the poll with two goal hero Wilfried Bony in third. Shelvey was one of three debutants who started the game – Jordi Amat being the other of the four whilst Pozuelo and Jose Canas both came off the bench in a hugely impressive Swans performance that saw them put one step into the next stage of the competition.
