Frustratingly, Pablo sat out the last mini round of games after scoring on his last appearance on September 1 at West Brom and also missed out a return to Valencia with the Swans as they triumphed in Europe 3-0 against his former club.
Pablo was in superb form pre-season and on his day is extremely difficult to contain in the Swans side and definitely without him the Swans options are more limited in the wide positions. So the good news that he will return next weekend will be well received as the Black Cats come with their new manager Gus Poyet in charge for the first time.
Sunderland have had a dreadful start to the season – just one point from seven games – and they sit rooted to the bottom of the table having parted company with manager Paolo Di Canio in the first Premier League sacking of the season. A new manager will often lift a team and after the midweek appointment of Poyet the Swans will be sitting up and taking notice and looking to make sure that they don’t let them have their first win of the season.
Hernandez is looking to get straight back into the action on his return and Swans fans will be hoping to see the best of him as they go into a run of games that all look extremely winnable and should lift them slowly up the Premier League table.
Pablo told the official site รขโฌลIt was a shame for me because I felt I put in my best performance so far this season against West Brom, and then I pick up a hamstring problem
รขโฌลIรขโฌโขve had to miss seven games so it has been a frustrating period.
รขโฌลBut now I feel stronger and more confident of being available for the Sunderland game.
รขโฌลThis week has been very important for me and hopefully, with a couple of more days training, the manager will see that I am ready for this game.
รขโฌลIt is an important fixture for us because we need to start picking up points at home.
รขโฌลBut we know Sunderland have a new manager in Gus Poyet, so the players will be looking to do everything to impress him and get a good result.รขโฌย
