Williams – who is preparing with Wales for tomorrow’s massive Euro 2016 qualifier against Belgium – took time out of his schedule to welcome the players to the club and remark on the signature of a key player for the team.

“It’s a big coup for Swansea” said Williams

“He comes with a good reputation, we needed some firepower to help [striker] Bafetimbi Gomis. So I will do my best to try and help him settle as quickly as possible at Swansea and welcome him to the club.”

The Swans beat off interest from the likes of Newcastle and West Ham to secure the signature of the player who has won more than 60 caps for Ghana and also scored two goals at last summer’s World Cup proving his international pedigree.
