The Swans have been linked with the player this week and he is also reported to be attracting interest now from West Ham and Southampton as well as the Swans.

We are definitely in the hunt for a striker to provide competition for Bafetimbi Gomis but also to replace some of the goals that we lost when Wilfried Bony moved to Manchester City last January.

Remy has found game time at Stamford Bridge hard to come by in his time there and a move away is looking more and more likely with today’s reports that Radamel Falcao is to open talks with them for a permanent move after spending much of last season on loan at Manchester United.

The reported price of £10m could be enough though to put the Swans off and the risk will come that Remy may want more guarantees of first team football and we saw last season that playing second fiddle is not what Gomis wants from his time at Swansea.

This story is one that I have a feeling will run and run for a few more weeks yet and I have to say that I don’t think Remy will end up a Swansea fan come the start of next season
