Taylor Happy To Be Back In Action

But rather than moaning – as many would – Taylor accepts that it is a part of life of a successful player and he hopes that he will not be having much of a rest next summer either.

It is clear that Taylor is grateful to be back in regular action after two seasons close to being in the wilderness thanks to injury and the excellent form of Ben Davies. Recalled to the side after Davies departed for Tottenham last summer, Taylor made the left back spot his own again for both club and country as Wales moved closer to a first major finals since 1958.

But next season Taylor faces increased competition for his place thanks to the arrival of Franck Tabanou in Swansea who comes in to provide the competition that the Swans have so often talked about in every position.

But again, no moaning from Taylor who accepts that it is part of the game and shows a level of maturity that is beyond his 26 years

Speaking to Wales Online, Taylor said รขโ‚ฌล“Weรขโ‚ฌโ„ขre back in on Sunday so we wonรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt have been off for that long. Some other teams are back later but thatรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs what weรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve been told. Itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs a nice break for 12 days and then we get ready for the new season.

รขโ‚ฌล“Most successful players in football donรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt get a break for 15 years and thatรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs what we want.

รขโ‚ฌล“We donรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt want a break next summer either. Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm not bothered whatsoever – itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs what I love doing and while youรขโ‚ฌโ„ขre playing and your teamรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs playing well and everyoneรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs happy, itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs a great time to be playing football.

รขโ‚ฌล“People have to be pushed to their limits. Thatรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs how you get the best out of them in Premier League football. Obviously Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm looking forward to the season.รขโ‚ฌย

Swansea City: Andy Coleman has much to answer for right now
