TMW are reporting that both sides are chasing after the Senegal international and ready to move when the transfer window opens. Marseille are also reported to be interested in Gueye who they see as a replacement for Giannelli Imbula who is a target for Porto.
Only two weeks ago it was reported that Southampton had had a bid of £7m accepted for the player as they planned to replace Morgan Schneiderlin who looks set for Manchester United. The reports – in France football – suggested that a deal had been struck but as yet that has gone any further.
Crystal Palace have also been linked for the player who is clearly in demand who was one of the stand-out performers for the French side as they finished in a respectable eighth place.
