Michu – No Going Back Now For Sure

It is understood that Michu’s non attendance was not a surprise and the club knew that he was remaining in Spain but it really saddens me that it has to end in such a way for a player who gave us so much in a short period of time at the club

Two years ago I think we would have rejected almost any bid for Michu after his amazing first season at the club but injury, change of management and a seeming attitude issue meant that his value slid down quicker than a Greek bank balance and a poor loan spell at Napoli could leave Michu in the footballing wilderness.

Let’s not also forget that he earned a Spanish cap while he was at Swansea and you realise just how quick a good thing can turn sour in football.

It looks most likely that Michu will return to LA Liga but to make that happen he needs the Swans to help him by cancelling his contract but there is also an issue of wages which need to be overcome as well.

A sad way for this to end but sadly it looks like the way it is going.
