Sheehan, who made his first team debut for the Swans last August against Rotherham in the Capital One Cup although he was replaced just before the hour mark by Gylfi Sigurdsson.
He was loaned out to Yeovil at the end of the season where first team appearances were – as you can imagine – more plentiful and he made 12 starts in the Yeovil side although he was unable to prevent them sliding into League Two as they finished bottom of the league.
But it was clearly enough for the Swans to be persuaded to offer the young Sheehan a new contract at the club although I suspect we may see him head out on loan again this season in a bid to get more first team football experience which ultimately could help us.
Very happy to of signed a new contract at Swansea City today!โฝ๏ธ looking forward to what the future holds ๐
