When The Fans Voices Counted

For years as a Trust we have campaigned for reduced ticket prices for fans and have managed to keep season tickets at great value as well as ensuring that we get fairly priced tickets – Everton in the Capital One Cup last season being a good example.

It is not easy to secure this all the time but the voice is always there making the right noises and on occasions you have to applaud the rest of the club board for making it happen and ensuring that our fans do not have to pay more than ร‚ยฃ22 next season for watching the Swans away from home. A brilliant gesture and really proud that the Trust have played a big part in making this happen.

The club was very proactive on its Away Supporters Initiative (ASI) last season,รขโ‚ฌโ„ขรขโ‚ฌโ„ข explained Swans Vice-Chairman Leigh Dineen.

รขโ‚ฌล“But we believe our รขโ‚ฌหœTrue to 22รขโ‚ฌโ„ข pledge has taken it to a new level.

รขโ‚ฌล“We worked hard on reducing away ticket prices for our supporters last season through reciprocal deals with other clubs. Unfortunately, we were unable to finalise deals with all the clubs for different reasons.

รขโ‚ฌล“Therefore, while we introduced other away fan benefits, we felt it would be more beneficial to our supporters if we took the step of guaranteeing them cheaper tickets for all our away games, whether there was a reciprocal deal in place or not.รขโ‚ฌโ„ขรขโ‚ฌโ„ข

As a fan-owned club, we are well aware of how expensive it is to follow the team to away games, especially with the increasing transport costs,รขโ‚ฌโ„ขรขโ‚ฌโ„ข added Swans Supporters Trust Director, Huw Cooze.

รขโ‚ฌล“But this รขโ‚ฌหœTrue to 22รขโ‚ฌโ„ข pledge means an adult can now watch every one of our away games in the Premier League for a total price of ร‚ยฃ418. Thatรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs more than ร‚ยฃ250 cheaper per adult than the amount we believe it would cost this season without our subsidy.รขโ‚ฌโ„ขรขโ‚ฌโ„ข
