Fresh from delivering us four excellent new signings and then an extended deal for the likes of Jonjo Shelvey we have the extended contract for the manager who led us to a record breaking 8th place in the Premier League.

He was not that high up on many lists when we first sacked Michael Laudrup but nobody can dispute that he has proved his critics wrong with an excellent season in charge and the record breaking performance that it got.

And the new contract for Garry is well deserved and a great move by the club to make sure that one of the hotter properties in management knows he is valued here at Swansea and that we want him to stay.

รขโ‚ฌล“As a club we are pleased to agree the new contract with Garry,รขโ‚ฌย said Chairman Huw Jenkins.

รขโ‚ฌล“Itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs deserved reward for the fantastic season weรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve just had and all Garryรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs hard work, commitment and loyalty to our football club over many years.

รขโ‚ฌล“We also feel it is vital to have stability within our football club, especially with Garry going into such a big season where the reward for remaining within the Barclays Premier League is going to be greater than ever in terms of finance and global exposure.รขโ‚ฌย

Swansea City: Andy Coleman has much to answer for right now

Swansea City Chairman Andy Coleman has often asked us to judge him by his actions and all too often when we sit back and do judge him on those actions we realise just how out of his depth he is as Chairman of a professional football club. Many people will…
