Planet Swans ArchivesI guess it was only a matter of time before more interest surfaced in Swansea players given their superb season last season but having spent the summer ensuring we have the squad exactly where we want it, it would be madness now to start letting others get their hands on players.
Of course we have always operated a philosophy that if players want to leave then we rarely stand in their way but it does not appear as it stands that we have any players (Michu of course excepted) that want to leave the Swans at this point in time.
Jordi Amat is without a doubt for me the first choice replacement should we have any reason not to play Williams or Fernandez and he will certainly get his share of game time this season.
Amat missed both friendlies in Germany due to injury but he is in training and should be fit for the season opener in just about three weeks time.
He signed a new contract in March that keeps him at the club until 2018 and no matter what the interest is it is great to hear that it has been knocked back and that the club are not looking to sell.
