Monk has seen his side come through pre-season unbeaten ahead of the start of the season that sees them take on the Champions on their own patch.
Twelve months on from that famous win at Old Trafford, Monk has the chance on Saturday to create history against as he takes his team in search of a first ever Premier League win at Stamford Bridge.
Monk seems to have plenty of options ahead of him after a successful summer of shopping that has seen him bring in four players with nobody leaving the club giving us a stronger squad than last season when we finished in 8th place – a highest ever Premier League finish for the Swans.
So what are his plans for Saturday? Unsurprisingly he is keeping his cards close to his chest as he prepares his team for the game,
“We’re working on different things behind the scenes as well, so we’ll see.
“In my mind I have an idea of what I want to try to do at Chelsea.
รขโฌลI looked at a few different things in the Deportivo La Coruna game which Iรขโฌโขll keep to myself but Iรขโฌโขve done that through preseason and weรขโฌโขll see how the week goes.
รขโฌลI have an idea of what I want to do and weรขโฌโขll see if the players, touch wood, come through unscathed and pick the team towards the end of the week.รขโฌย
