Chelsea v Swansea – Did We Upset The Odds?

It has often been said during our time in the Premier League that we upset the odds on a regular basis so we thought that this season we would test the theory to see whether we do actually achieve that.

We are not planning on making huge stakes, just a simple £1 on each of three separate bets for each Premier League game that we play during the course of the season.

The three bets per game will be

* £1 on the Swans to win
* £1 on first goalscorer (determined by entries into our prediction league)
* £1 on the correct score (again taken by entries into our prediction league)

That led us to make the final two of the three bets this season as Bafetimbi Gomis to score first and Chelsea to win 3-1. We of course have a three bet losing streak for the first game but we could easily have sneaked the win and Gomis of course had more than one chance to be the first name on the scoresheet yesterday.

So let’s see how we get on next weekend against Newcastle but for now we certainly haven’t upset the odds in the way that we have backed us to but there is plenty of time yet to return a profit.
