Goals from Andre Ayew and a Bafetimbi Gomis penalty gave the Swans the draw but it only told half a story as we took the game to our hosts and gave them a real scare as they came close to being the first defending champions to lose their opening game in Premier League history.

The Swans had 10 shots on target during the game and can definitely pinpoint at least 6 great chances that had to be well saved and could easily have seen one of them go in to make a real difference in the end result of the game.

Unsurprisingly, Swans staff on Twitter were quick to praise the work done by the club in securing the point which stands as a great start to the season and something that we can build on next weekend against Newcastle at the Liberty
