I am sure that Garry Monk will be using this as a chance to give some of the players who have not had much game time a run out this time around but we are still expected to easily have enough in the tank to get past our opponents who lie 18th in League Two.
The Minstermen have just four points from their four league games to date but will arrive in Swansea on the back of two clean sheets in the league after losing their first two league games of the season.
But the focus for them will clearly be the league this season and that has led manager Russ Wilcox to hint at changes ahead of the game and he is certainly hinting that he will be playing a weaker team on Tuesday than he will against Mansfield in the league next weekend.
He said: รขโฌลRecharging for Tuesday night is going to be so difficult on the back of two long journeys and itรขโฌโขs a worry. We had eight hours on the road the day before this game and it took us three hours just to get to Doncaster.
รขโฌลWeรขโฌโขve also played five matches in 14 days now and I thought we looked dead on our feet. Some of our lads are absolutely wiped out and, when fatigue comes into play, you can pick up injuries so, whilst I want to put out my strongest team and Swanseaรขโฌโขs a great arena to play in, the bigger picture is we donรขโฌโขt want to lose players and I would prefer to win against Mansfield.
รขโฌลIรขโฌโขm sure everybody will want to play but Iรขโฌโขve got to do whatรขโฌโขs best for the football club and, in the long-term, the league is more important. รขโฌล
