We know that we don’t want him and despite rumours of interest in the UK from the likes of West Ham, Aston Villa and Celtic nothing is happening.
Then there was reports of interest abroad both in his native Spain and elsewhere in Europe but that is coming to nothing even more so now that Real Betis said that they were no likely to move for the player.
“Michu? He’s still at Swansea and I don’t think that there’s any way around that one” said Betis boss Pepe Mel.
That implies that as well as a deal to play for any new club Michu could be holding out for a pay off from us. The Swans we know are keen to get rid and have been talking to his representatives for some time but if there is a transfer to be done then the player should take an opportunity and we need to make that happen as this is the only downside I have seen so far from the summer we have had dealing with transfers.
