Dyer got his head to a great through ball with a massive dose of bravery to complete a superb comeback for the in form Leicester City who fought back from two goals down to lift themselves into second place in the Premier League.
It looked for all the money in the world as if Leicester would suffer their first defeat of the season against Villa but three goals inside the last twenty minutes changed all of that.
Dyer was introduced to the action at half time and had an immediate impact with his runs causing worries in the Villa defence and that was before his last minute winner that saw him need medical attention immediately.
“I didn’t know what had happened,” said Dyer. “The physio told me I had scored as he was treating me. It was a nice feeling but I was just dazed. It was a lot easier to get up when I realised what I had just done.”
Dyer also confirmed again that he left Swansea in search of first team football and that it was a tough decision for him to make.
