It is being reported that our 2-1 loss at home to Liverpool has been the final ail in the coffin for the badly treated Francesco Guidolin and that Giggs has been offered the chance to replace him at the Liberty Stadium.
Giggs, who played for Man Utd for more than 20 years, is known to want to get into management after a spell in charge at Old Trafford and being assistant to Louis Van Gaal during his time there.
The report on Twitter comes from a reasonably respected account and simply says

There has been speculation over the future of Guidolin for a couple of weeks now and the club – sadly – have done nothing to kill off that speculation and indeed seem to have happily interviewed potential candidates without actually looking to hide the fact that they were doing it.
Whether this particular part is true (about the appointment) remains to be seen but the one thing is certain is that the club have not covered themselves in any glory with the way that they have handled the position and full credit to Francesco for the way he has handled himself
A change does seem almost certain but it will always beg the question of why we ever did it when it seems we made the decision. Classless.
