After undertaking talks in London today it has been reported that Clement has agreed a two and a half year deal at the Liberty and will watch his new team in action tomorrow evening when they take on Crystal Palace in a massive encounter.
The Swans find themselves currently bottom of the Premier League, four points adrift of safety but that will become seven if they lose tomorrow evening highlighting just how important the game will come.
Clement will become the Swans fourth permanent manager in a little over twelve months following the sacking of Bob Bradley last week after just 85 days in charge. We have managed just three wins and three draws from our nineteen games to date and are odds on favourites to return to the Championship after a six year stay in the top flight.
Clement’s first game in charge will be the FA Cup tie against Hull on Saturday whilst his first league game will be against Arsenal on 14th January, ironically the same opponents that Bradley faced in his first Premier League game in charge back in October.
He will want though to settle into the role very quickly and work with the club to strengthen the team as best as he can in the January transfer window.
