It is not the first time the Swans have been linked with a move for Chadl – two of the last three windows have seen the link being made but this time it is getting widely reported that we could be back in for a man who seemingly is falling out of favour at West Brom.
Chadli did play for the Baggies in the Premier League trophy in Asia this week where West Brom lost 7-6 on penalties to Leicester and it could take a fee in excess of what we paid last summer for Borja Boston to bring the winger to the Liberty.
And that is why I believe that any move would be dependent on selling Sigurdsson as I cannot see the Swans paying that kind of money for the player whilst the Icelandic international is still at the club.
There were reports that Chadli had a falling out with Tony Pulis over West Brom’s pre-season schedule although Pulis did say earlier this week that he did not want to sell Chadli but as we know what is said and what actually happens don’t always go hand in hand.
