If we did pull off a deal for Wood then it would mean that we have the Championship’s two top scorers from last season in our squad with the addition of Tammy Abraham on a season long long already secured.
Given we are already in the market though fro Wilfried Bony and still have Fernando Llorente in the team it is difficult to see why we would want to spend a further รยฃ20m on a player not yet proven at this level especially as his game time may be limited.
It is also suggested that Stoke and Southampton are interested in Wood and are monitoring the progress although the price tag suggests that Leeds are unlikely to want to sell the player as they look to build on what was a decent campaign last time around.
Wood has been capped 52 times for New Zealand and averages a goal every other game for Leeds.
