Swansea v Brentford – 10,000 crowd and less than 4,000 “general sale” tickets per team

It looks like there will be less than 4,000 tickets available for Swans fans as preparations start for the play off final at Wembley next weekend when we go head to head with Brentford for the right to earn a place in the Premier League.

In line with the Governmentโ€™s current Covid-19 restrictions, Wembley will have a maximum 10,000 capacity for the match which is dubbed the richest game in football. This means there will be fewer than 4,000 General Admission tickets allocated to each team with the remainder going to hospitality and EFL use.

There has generally been an almost capacity 90,000 crowd for this game in the past so whilst a vastly reduced capacity is to be expected given current conditions it falls well short of the crowd that saw last weekend’s FA Cup final between Leicester City and Chelsea.

What it does mean is that many Swans fans will miss out on the chance to back their team at Wembley which will see the pubs in and around Swansea being well utilised and us having to back the team from the comfort of our homes and those pubs.

The Swans will confirm details of the tickets tomorrow and how those lucky ones will be chosen.
