“A Duracell Battery” – Lincoln City prepare to welcome Liam Cullen

Liam Cullen and Morgan Whittaker will be linking up together at Lincoln City for the rest of the season after it was reported yesterday that Cullen will sign on loan for the Imps in the next 24 hours.

Cullen has been made available for loan by the Swans after failing to secure a regular spot in the starting line up and it is widely believed that he needs a regular run of games for a side to allow his game to develop as we hope it can.

And it is clear that at Lincoln he has a fan in Michael Appleton who described him as a “Duracell battery” when asked about Cullen last night shortly after watching his side gain a very strong 3-1 win at The Stadium of Light against Sunderland.

Speaking to Lincolnshire Live Appleton said “Heโ€™s a bundle of energy, heโ€™s like a Duracell battery.

โ€œOne, heโ€™s good with his back to goal. Two, he comes alive in the box which is going to be important. He can play in numerous positions, either side [of the front three] but we want to get him centrally as much as we can.

โ€œHeโ€™s an infectious character, I think the fans will love his personality.

โ€œHeโ€™s everything youโ€™d want in a striker.โ€

Swansea fans will probably not recognise the description with the Liam Cullen that we watch when he is used but every Swansea fan will hope that he does turn into a player who matches the final sentence of Appleton.

Good luck at Lincoln Liam we watch on with interest.
